Each year a billion people suffer from some form of hunger, due to war, climate change or poverty.
COVID-19 is worsening this problem by reducing physical access to food and economic access to jobs world-wide.
Relief Share sponsors student service learning providing pre packaged high nutrition meals for most vulnerable.
One student group is the Lecanto High School International Baccalaureate “Hands on Hunger” meal packaging program and international service project. Relief Share and secondary and university students work to provide:
- Meals providing micronutrients, enriched rice, soy protein, dried vegetables, essential vitamins and nutrients.
- Shipping through partners to Venezuela, Haiti, Africa, Asia, and Refugee Camps.
- This service learning project supports most vulnerable during COVID-19 crisis.
- One person packages about 250 meals in two hours helping people in critical need.
